Bren Luke Sketches
The illustration on the home page is by Brendan Luke.
Brendan is a Melbourne artist/illustrator who lives in Carlton North in the same street as his football hero, Bulldog Bob Murphy.
Born and bred in Ballarat, Brendan has been drawing since a wee lad. His earliest memories are of his Dad, Mick Luke, drawing comics for him and his sisters following work on the railways.
Brendan went to school at Ballarat’s famous football school, St Pat’s, but his slight build made it a tough task making the First 18, so he stuck to working on his art.
After completing a BA in fine art at Ballarat Uni, he moved to the Big Smoke.
His work can best be described as detailed realism, using pen and ink as the medium. He admires the work of comic book artist Robert Crumb, who, in his opinion, is the world’s greatest living artist.
More of Brendan’s work can be found on his website: http://brenluke.blogspot.com/
Feel free to contact Brendan at the website. He’s more than happy to do commissioned work.

Luke,
I’ll bet I’m not the only Knacker that would love a drawing commemorating the toe-poke. A shot of Scarlett in pele pose with the ball making its way to Ablett who is ready to take it in his hands. Magic. I’ll be in touch.
